Trump? Not looking too hot lately, y’all.
In the midst of his impeachment, there is much to be said about President Trump, and not much of it is good. Since he wanted to let a foreign government investigate a U.S. person and candidate to better his own re-election campaign, officials in the White House are not very happy.
Neal Katyal, former acting solicitor general, said that President’s Trump attempt to dig up dirt on his rival is dictionary definition of an ‘impeachable offense.’
And then of course, Trump can’t keep his mouth shut and says at a private event that the whistleblower is close to a spy and, “You know what we used to do in the old days when we were smart? Right? The spies and treason, we used to handle it a little differently than we do now.”
He is basically just throwing in subtle threats to the whistleblower and making sure it is known that if he finds out who they are, it will not be pretty. But President Trump is only being so defensive because he knows that he is caught and won’t be able to slime his way out of this one.
Not only is the general public upset with him over this scandal, but his normally unconditional supporters are upset with him as well – but on his pull back with Syria, not on his impeachment.
Although I am 99% sure President Trump would disagree, he is not on everyone’s good list right now. And whether or not you are on the left side or right side, both sides are coming together at the moment and agreeing that what is happening is not okay. As much as I hate to say it, Trump could possibly be what unites this country again.
