New Details on Sandy Hook Shooter

I recently read an article from CNN, the FBI published a new report, regarding Sandy Hook Shooter, Adam Lanza. These documents are said to “paint a disturbing portrait” of him
For some context if you don’t know, on December 14th, 2012, using a Bushmaster Model XM15-E2S rifle a 12 gauge semi-automatic rifle, Adam Lanza stormed into the Sandy Hook Elementary and opened fire, killing six adults and 20 children. Honestly, I wish we were provided with more information about how Lanza even got those guns, they are not small weapons, and he does have a history of mental illness.
These accounts of Lanza come from an online friend that Lanza made two years before the shooting. The friend is not named. She said that he was obsessed with mass murders and would always research them, extensively. She even referred to him as the “weirdest person online”. I don’t necessarily think that we should believe everything she says. While I obviously do not support what Lanza said in anyway, this woman could be saying false information about him, and he is not alive to defend himself. His actions do not deserve to be defended, but she could be spending lies about the person he is.
I read that FBI agents had to come to Lanza’s home when he was a teenager because he hacked into a government system. They even offered him a job. I thought that was interesting, because nothing further seemed to come from it, then a small slap on the wrist from the FBI.
Although these documents shed lighter on the person that Lanza was, it will not bring the victims back. Whether you think the United States need better mental health services, gun reform, or both, everyone can agree on how devastating this shooting was.
This shooting is the 4th deadliest mass shooting in US History. The first being the October 2017 shooting in Las Vegas that left, 58 dead. 2nd is the June 2016 shooting at the Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, 49 dead, and 3rd the 2007 shooting at Virginia Tech, that left 32 dead.
